Selling art isn't always easy. With over 70+ gallery stockists, supplying artwork from cutting edge artists such as JJ Adams, Katy Jade Dobson and Tom Lewis just to name a few, Wishbone have to work closely with their galleries to ensure the artwork gets sold.
Wishbone have developed a new sales tool that they'll implement in their partner galleries to help generate more sales, more satisfied customers and develop client relationships. Wishbone and ActivCanvas have teamed up to create the Wishbone Interactive app - a first in the world of Art Tech, the app allows the user to scan artwork, engage with the art, discover more about the art and purchase the artwork, all through their mobile phone. The tool creates some exciting opportunities for art sellers and art buyers. Glenn Hardman, the MD of Wishbone says, “Art buyers love it because of the additional information and engagement, art sellers love it because it will certainly lead to increased sales.”
With the ability to scan, search, share, save and buy any artwork on their phone it allows users not only to engage with the artwork on a more personal level but also the ability to be able to make more informed buying decisions. Something as simple as saving an artwork on your phone to be able to show to your partner/spouse before purchasing is invaluable to art buyers and Wishbone recognises that.

To celebrate the launch of Wishbone Interactive, we are taking it to the Aberdeen Art Fair, along with work from some of Wishbone's most successful artists. As a special promotion for the fair, anyone who downloads and uses the Wishbone Interactive app is automatically entered into a competition to win a print from one of the Wishbone artists. Aberdeen Art Fair will mark the start of a national roll-out of Wishbone Interactive with their partner galleries.
